Hello Wales, yes me, again. I just can’t keep away. I hope you’re enjoying all my articles, ranging from actors from Hollywood to meeting Jodie Comer from Killing Eve, to Stephen Hammett-Perlmutter founder of Origins Cuisines from Bristol and now let’s meet singer and model and Leyton Orient fan, ASHLEIGH K.

Having begun her music career at the age of six when she started leaning to play the violin and singing, Ashleigh K has gone on to gain many qualifications in music which saw her touring the USA with her college orchestra at the age of sixteen.

In 2003 Ashleigh K moved top London to take a degree in Popular Music Performance. It was here that she changed her technique and found her real interest was in popular music, and since graduating has been working with other artists and developing her own material.

Ashleigh K released her debut single truth in 2013. The video to the song was shot during a Met raid of Shoreditch bars in London on a rowdy Friday night and has already received over 11,000 views.

Her next video ‘Cowboy’ was released in December 2012 and was shot in ‘Desert Hot Springs’ in LA. It was played on MTV2, Fuse and is now on Vevo music channel and has over 300,000 views on YouTube which was then followed by ‘Knock Me Down’ which was released in March 2013 and was shot in Downtown LA.

Ashleigh has performed around the UK with her band. She performed at ‘Westfield Stratford Shopping Centre’ for Breast Cancer Care and ‘Aura Mayfair’ for the ‘Music meets Fashion’ event.

Other London venues include ‘The Underbelly’ Hoxton, ‘The Worshop’ Old Street, ‘The Garage’ Islington, Café De Paris nightclub and London Pride where she headlined the women’s stage on Deans street in 2014.

Ashleigh is sponsored by Italian Street wear clothes designer Umberto Bruno and did a tour of Salento, Italy in August 2013 where she performed at the ‘Soul-food Festival’ as a headline act.

Her album ‘Nightmare’ was released in 2014 through Mervilton records. She wrote the lyrics to all the songs on her album and collaborated with other producers and rappers. In 2015, she collaborated with the legendary ‘Soulshaker’ producers and the single ‘Call on me (Why don’t you) ft Ashleigh K was released by Freaktone records and reached number 5 in the Music week industry dance charts and 7 in the commercial pop charts.

Ashleigh has had a break from the industry as she wanted to grow her family but is now writing new material and is bringing out a new dance track with ‘Mark Tierney Music.’ Watch this Space!!
